eminem x recovery

Seems like he's either loved or hated...well, i love. True - my Dtown hometown loyalty would make it hard to show hate for Eminem, but he's more than a local celeb 2 me...besides, i've never been much for the world of paparazzi & empty infatuation. If you look past the "slim shady" hype & take a peep into the voyage & life of Eminem, he's got a traveled life whose success can't be hated on. He delved into the hip hop world against it all - white boy status, connections only to trailer parks & a childhood the best of us would adopt as a bumper sticker when excusing our failure to go after our goals.

His new album "Recovery" has dropped & holds the same confidence & self actualization as his first track "Not Afraid" ; i'm psyched to play repeat on all tracks like "Love the Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna), "No Love" (feat. Lil Wayne) to name a few. Eminem hates on those who hate him - that much hasn't changed. But there's a new theme of acceptance of self & strength, not just through himself but with the aid of those around him, that he blasts in the hook of Not Afraid:
"I'm not afraid to take a standEverybody come take my handWe'll walk this road together, through the stormWhatever weather, cold or warmJust let you know that, you're not aloneHolla if you feel that you've been down the same road"
The remaining lyrics are loaded with sick play on words & his thoughts haven't failed to challenge his fans & critics. Here's a couple videos to peep of his new tracks...
Love him or hate him, Eminem has never given us anything but who he really is at that moment - & for the transparency he allows the world to see, i've got much respect & appreciation.
